Midland Bank organises leadership workshop for women employees
Midland Bank PLC has conducted a workshop, 'Leadership for Women at Work', to strengthen the professional skills and leadership acumen of its female staff.
The day-long event took place at the bank's training institute.
Forty-one female officials from various branches and divisions across the bank participated in the programme, which was inaugurated by Zubayed Ur Rahman, Head of Human Resources at Midland Bank PLC.
Sessions were led by Dr Mohammad Tazul Islam, Professor at Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management; Md Mozaharul Islam, Senior Principal Officer at Janata Bank Limited; and Shushanta Shekhar Dev, Head of Treasury Division at Midland Bank.
They offered insights into leadership, decision-making, professional development and the evolving role of women in the workplace.
Speakers emphasised that in contemporary banking, women are not merely participants but key drivers of leadership, innovation and strategic decision-making. They stressed that equitable participation of all genders is essential to building a sustainable and inclusive institution.
Midland Bank reiterated its commitment to empowering female employees through ongoing training, mentorship and leadership development initiatives.
