Meghna Bank elects new Chairperson
Ms Uzma Chowdhury has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of Meghna Bank.
A distinguished professional in Bangladesh's finance and banking sector, Ms Chowdhury brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role.
Ms Chowdhury is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Texas, USA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Ms. Uzma Chowdhury has extensive experience in the accounting profession, having worked for over seven years in the petroleum industry in the United States. She also served as Secretary of the Houston Chapter of the American Women's Society for CPAs for four years.

Since October 2008, Ms Chowdhury has been the finance director at the Renowned PRAN-RFL Group, Bangladesh's largest and most diversified conglomerate. She is also a member of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Underprivileged Children's Education Program (UCEP) and a committee member of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI).
