Meghna Bank announces new additional managing director
Meghna Bank PLC has promoted Md Sadiqur Rahman to the position of Additional Managing Director.
Prior to the promotion, he served as Deputy Managing Director and had also been carrying out the responsibilities of Managing Director and CEO on a current-charge basis.
Rahman is a banking professional with 28 years' experience in branch banking, retail and SME banking, treasury, credit, foreign exchange, ALM, treasury risk management, capital market operations, and Islamic banking. He has been a member of the bank's MANCOM, ALCO, SMT, CRMC, RMC, and Investment Committee. He also serves as Director and TREC holder representative of Meghna Bank Securities Ltd.

He began his banking career at Sonali Bank PLC in 1998 as a Senior Officer under BRC and later held leadership roles at AB Bank Limited. Since joining Meghna Bank PLC in 2013, he has been involved in areas related to growth, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
Rahman holds an MBA from the University of Dhaka, an MBM, and a DAIBB, in addition to professional certifications including CERM, CECM, CEAF, CIBFP, CPSME, CSAA, and DIB. He has participated in training programmes both at home and abroad.
He is involved in industry bodies including BAFEDA, PDBL, and BAMDA, and has contributed as a discussant, facilitator, and resource person at various professional events.
