LG unveils region-specific home solutions for Asia-Pacific market
Showcasing innovation, LG Electronics (LG) unveiled its latest region-specific products at LG InnoFest 2026 APAC, held in Busan, Korea, from 7 to 10 April.
The event brought together over 200 key partners and media from across 20 Asia-Pacific countries to strengthen collaboration and share strategies.
Under the theme 'Innovation, Forward Together', LG InnoFest 2026 APAC provided an in-depth look at LG's latest offerings, tailored to the lifestyles of Asian consumers.
Showcasing cultural elements that resonate across the region, the exhibition demonstrated how LG leverages K-Tech innovation to provide home solutions that directly address daily regional challenges, offering greater comfort and convenience for diverse Asian markets.
The showcase featured a comprehensive range of region-specific home solutions—including laundry, kitchen, and built-in products—designed to simplify chores and enhance comfort, tailored to the unique living conditions and everyday needs of consumers across Asia.
The event also supported LG's continued growth in Asia by deepening collaboration with regional partners and outlining the company's long-term strategy for home innovation, including AI-powered solutions.
LG expanded its laundry portfolio with a complete WashTower line-up, introducing a new 25-inch model tailored for Asian homes, alongside existing 24-inch and 27-inch versions.
Designed for space efficiency and convenience, the line-up reflects LG's understanding of diverse housing environments across Asia, helping consumers save space while improving laundry routines.
New top-load washers feature AI Direct Drive (AI DD), which adjusts wash motions for fabric and soil type. TurboWash 3D completes a cycle in under 30 minutes, saving time while protecting clothing.
An automatic dispenser measures and dispenses detergent for each load, making laundry easier and reducing the need for frequent refills, which saves users time and effort.
The new LG WashCombo, an all-in-one model, improves LG's drying solutions for faster, more convenient laundry.
Improved energy efficiency helps Asian consumers reduce electricity costs, while an expanded standalone dryer line-up offers more high-efficiency options for cost-conscious users.
LG also offers commercial laundry solutions engineered for high-frequency, extended operation.
The portfolio includes professional-grade features such as customisable programmes and a service-friendly design.
Leveraging this expertise, LG announced plans to introduce a new commercial washer-dryer HeatPump Combo that integrates washing and drying in a single unit. This helps businesses save space and streamline laundry operations, enhancing convenience and efficiency. Global expansion is planned following strong demand in Korea.
LG also unveiled refrigerator solutions designed to meet diverse lifestyles and housing conditions across Asia, making food storage more flexible and accessible for a variety of consumer needs.
The new Fit & Max design features a Zero Clearance Hinge for a seamless built-in appearance, maximising storage capacity in compact kitchens so users can store more food without sacrificing space.
LG's advanced Ice Solution addresses Asia's high ice consumption, offering four ice options—Craft Ice, crushed, cubed, and mini craft—to meet daily needs and simplify entertaining.
LG's latest dishwasher features an exclusive one-hour wash-and-dry cycle, allowing users to clean and dry dishes faster and resume daily routines with minimal wait time.
QuadWash Pro employs four spray arms with high-pressure water jets and microbubbles to clean dishes from multiple angles, ensuring a thorough clean. Dynamic Heat Dry+ improves drying performance with a moisture-absorbing material, efficiently creating warm, dry air and eliminating excess humidity for spotless results.
LG reported that A-grade energy efficiency has been achieved across key models in both premium and volume segments, helping consumers reduce their energy bills while maintaining high performance.
For Southeast Asian markets, LG announced a tailored built-in kitchen collection—including ovens, cooktops, and hoods—that helps both business and home users maximise kitchen space and productivity.
A key feature is the advanced Camera Oven, which uses an internal camera to identify ingredients and recommend optimal cooking modes, helping users consistently achieve better cooking results and reducing guesswork during meal preparation.
For the first time at InnoFest, LG hosted live commerce sessions for partners in selected markets, enabling more direct engagement and creating a dynamic, interactive experience that supports faster purchase decisions.
Attendees could also explore three distinct exhibition zones, each representing different home environments across Asia.
The spatial designs drew inspiration from popular Korean dramas, creating a familiar atmosphere that helps partners envision LG solutions in real homes and understand how they fit diverse lifestyles and regional needs.
Within these zones, LG presented its AI Home vision, demonstrating how intelligent technologies can simplify everyday living and improve convenience for users through connected solutions.
Powered by the AI Home Hub, ThinQ ON connects and coordinates LG's AI-enabled appliances and IoT devices to deliver seamless, intuitive experiences that make managing the home easier and more efficient for users.
ThinQ ON has launched in its initial market and is scheduled for phased rollout across Asia, beginning with Australia and Thailand.
As part of its long-term growth strategy in Asia, LG is expanding beyond products with the global rollout of LG Subscribe, a flexible subscription service that provides access to home appliances and ongoing product care, giving users more convenience and peace of mind.
The company is actively developing this business in key Asian urban markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Vietnam, so customers can enjoy appliances without large upfront costs while also receiving comprehensive product support for worry-free use.
Jaeseung Kim, Regional CEO of LG Electronics Asia Pacific, said: 'Asia is one of our most dynamic and important markets, and InnoFest 2026 provides a valuable opportunity to connect with our partners and share our vision for the future.
