KUET hosts hult prize 2026 campus round, team eureka wins
The on-campus round of the Hult Prize Foundation 2026 was held at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), bringing together student teams from universities across the country to pitch start-up ideas with social impact.
The campus round was led by Audrita M Hasan, Campus Director, with Deputy Campus Directors Adib Muttaki and S M Mohaimenuzzaman, who coordinated the competition, mentoring activities, and overall event delivery.
Organisers stated that more than 40 teams from 22 universities registered, making it one of the largest student-led entrepreneurship events on campus this year. Participants pitched business solutions addressing social and economic challenges.
Following the pitching round and evaluation, the results were announced as follows:
- Champion: Team Eureka
- First runner-up: Team DeQ
- Second runner-up: Team Repeat
The competition had a prize pool of Tk10,000. The judges were Md Anik Islam, Region Head at Marico Bangladesh Ltd; S M Nafiul Hossain, innovation and start-up mentor and sports-tech entrepreneur; and Md Imran Hossain, Managing Director of RoseTech Solutions Ltd.
Organisers also highlighted a CSR initiative held on 16 December, titled 'হাতটা বাড়িয়ে দাও' ('Extend Your Hand'), in collaboration with the National Society of the Blind and Partially Sighted Bangladesh and Spectrum. The programme brought together people with physical disabilities and visual impairments to promote inclusion, organisers stated.
The event was supported by partners including Mithai (power sponsor), Marico (strategic partner), M A Computers (merchandise partner), Tickify (outreach partner), Jamuna Television (broadcast partner), D-Box Sports Complex (T-shirt partner), The Business Standard (print and media partner), Sunquick (beverage partner), Barta (online media partner), TBS Graduates (youth engagement partner), KUET Radio (on-campus media partner), and Wander Woman (mentor partner).
Organisers stated that the programme reflects KUET's efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and socially responsible leadership among students, and highlighted the growing momentum of Bangladesh's university start-up ecosystem.
