Krishi Bank officials honoured for bridge success
The Ministry of Youth and Sports hosted a ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office on 30 March 2026 to honour national athletes for their achievements.
In the first phase, 129 athletes received special honours and financial rewards in recognition of outstanding performance. Awards included sports allowances, sports cards, and recognition for international achievements.
During the ceremony, the prime minister congratulated members of the Bangladesh Bridge Open Team for their participation in the 47th World Bridge Championship in 2025.

Among those honoured in the bridge category were Md Zahid Hossain, Deputy General Manager of the Human Resource Management Department at Bangladesh Krishi Bank, and AHM Kamruzzaman, Deputy General Manager of the bank's Banani Corporate Branch in Dhaka.
On behalf of the prime minister, they received medals, financial reward cheques, and sports cards in recognition of their achievements.
Bangladesh Krishi Bank described the international sporting success of its officials as a point of institutional pride, extending congratulations and best wishes for their future achievements.
