Afshana Rahman has been elected as the new president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka Founders for 2026.
The election took place during the chapter's Annual General Meeting held at the BRAC Centre Inn on 29 November, where members voted to select the new leadership.
Along with the president, the newly elected executive committee includes Rifatul Haque, Saiful Rahman, and Md Nafiul Hasan as vice-presidents. Amjad Shuvo has been elected as the local secretary-general, while Masud Parvez Raju will serve as the local treasurer.
The 2026 committee also includes directors and local committee chairs who will oversee next year's projects, training programmes, social events, and member engagement activities.
The AGM was attended by JCI Bangladesh's 2025 national president, Kazi Fahad, members of the national board, and local presidents from various Dhaka chapters.
Expressing her gratitude, newly elected president Afshana Rahman said, "The achievements of our previous president are a source of pride for us. In 2026, we will focus specifically on further empowering members, fostering leadership, and implementing meaningful projects for the community."
JCI Dhaka Founders is a prominent local chapter of the global non-profit organisation for young leaders aged 18 to 40. The chapter actively works on leadership development, social service, and promoting responsible citizenship in Bangladesh.
