IUBAT welcomes new students with Fall 2025 initiation programme

The International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) warmly welcomed its new batch of students for Fall 2025 through an Initiation Programme held on Sunday, 5 October 2025, at the university's Open Auditorium.
The event was designed to familiarise the newcomers with IUBAT's education system, services, and facilities to ensure a smooth and enriching academic journey.
Dr Md Shohidullah Miah, Professor, College of Agricultural Sciences, delivered the Initiation Speech. The programme was graced by Dr Mohammad Kaykobad, Distinguished Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, who attended as Chief Guest and inspired the freshmen with a motivational address. Visiting Faculty from Canada Taylor Ewerth also delivered a special speech to encourage students on their new academic journey.
In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Abdur Rab emphasised IUBAT's commitment to preparing students for success in both life and career. He advised the new entrants to embrace the challenges of higher education with dedication and perseverance.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Registrar Prof Dr Md Momtazur Rahman. Deans, department chairs, coordinators, the controller of examinations, and other senior administrative officers introduced themselves and their respective units, ensuring that students were acquainted with the university's key leadership. Faculty members teaching the freshmen were also formally introduced.
Earlier, the new students toured IUBAT's green campus and explored its facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, seminar halls, and recreation areas. With its welcoming spirit and strong academic guidance, IUBAT continues its mission to nurture competent graduates and responsible global citizens.
