Islami Bank Managing Director wins global NRB award 2025
Md Omar Faruk Khan, Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, has received the Lifetime Excellence in Islamic Banking Leadership Award at the Global NRB Awards 2025, in recognition of his contributions to the Islamic banking sector.
The award was presented by Dr Ahsan H Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, at a ceremony held at a city hotel in Dhaka on 30 December 2025, marking International Expatriates' Day.
The award was conferred by NRB World, recognising Khan's long-standing leadership and role in advancing Islamic banking practices.
