Inaugural executive cup golf tournament concludes
The inaugural Executive Cup Golf Tournament 2025, presented by City Bank and jointly organised by The Corporate Tour and GolfHouse, concluded on 23 August at Jolshiri Golf Club with over 116 golfers from 90 leading companies.
Held for the first time, the tournament showcased golf as a platform for leadership, discipline, and fellowship, blending competitive play with professional networking.
The closing ceremony took place at the Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre. Senior officials and industry leaders attended the event, among them Election Commissioner Brig Gen Abul Fazal Sanaullah (retd), Mahbubur Rahman—acting managing director and additional managing director of City Bank—Air Vice Marshal Manzurul Kabir of Air Headquarters, Group Captain Zafar, chairman of DMCB, and Musawath Zahedee, managing director of Radiant Pharmaceuticals.

Among the other notable attendees were Md Miarul Haque, Managing Director of DHL Express Bangladesh; Alamgir Morshed, Executive Director and CEO of Idcol; and Hedayet Ullah, Managing Director of Syngenta Bangladesh Ltd.
The tightly contested competition concluded with top honours awarded early: Kowser Ahmed of The Kow Company and Musawath Shams Zahedee of Radiant Pharmaceuticals secured the championship with a gross score of 34.
Second runners-up were Mohammad Jahangir Alam of Jamuna Bank PLC and Mominul Karim of ACNABIN, each with a gross of 35. Third runners-up were Maj Md Nazmul Huq Madal of Jolshiri Golf Club and Shariful Alam of Mitsui & Co (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, also carding 35.
City Bank served as the main sponsor of the tournament. Supporting sponsors included Aster Pharmacy, DFSK, DMCB, Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre, Radiant Pharmaceuticals, Sports World, Oppein, Turkish Airlines, and City Group, as well as several media partners.
