Helen Keller, MetLife partner to boost income generation in Sunamganj

Helen Keller International and MetLife Foundation have launched a new programme to support 500 low-income families in Sunamganj, Sylhet, by helping them pursue income-generating activities and build resilience.
The programme will provide participating families with training in on-farm and off-farm trades, including livestock and poultry rearing, tailoring, aquaculture, small business management, fishing, and commercial vegetable farming.
Dr Mahmudul Hasan, Acting Country Director of Helen Keller International, said: "We have always strived to support people living in poverty and to create a long-term positive impact on society. Partnering with MetLife Foundation to improve the lives of 500 families is a great opportunity and a powerful demonstration of our shared purpose."
