Guardian Life team visits JAAGO Foundation school to observe education initiatives
A team from Guardian Life Insurance Limited visited JAAGO Foundation's Banani School to observe how the organisation provides education to underprivileged children across Bangladesh.
The employee-engagement visit allowed participants to interact with students, observe classroom activities and learn about JAAGO's education model, according to a press release.
The programme was designed to give Guardian Life employees a broader understanding of JAAGO Foundation's mission, educational approach and the role of collaboration in creating lasting social impact.
During the visit, participants experienced the foundation's approach to delivering quality education in an inclusive and child-friendly learning environment.
The programme began with a student-led welcome intended to demonstrate the confidence and leadership skills developed among students at JAAGO schools.
Participants then attended an orientation session covering JAAGO Foundation's journey, educational philosophy, child-safeguarding practices and the objectives of the visit.
The session was followed by guided classroom observations and interactive activities with students, allowing the visitors to experience everyday learning at the school.
A key part of the visit was the Digital Classroom Experience, during which participants observed JAAGO's digital learning model through a live connection with students and teachers at remote branches.
The session demonstrated how the foundation uses technology to deliver education to children in geographically challenging areas and reduce distance-related barriers to learning.
The programme concluded with a reflection session where participants shared their observations and discussed the importance of accessible education.
They also explored ways individuals and organisations could contribute to creating better opportunities for children.
Participants were introduced to JAAGO Foundation's Sponsor a Child Programme and its broader efforts to expand educational opportunities for underprivileged children across the country.
"Creating meaningful change begins with understanding," said JAAGO Foundation Lead, Impact Investment Apurba Karmaker.
"Experiences like these allow our partners to connect with the realities, aspirations and potential of the children we work with every day.
"We believe that when organisations engage directly with our students and witness the impact of quality education first-hand, they become stronger advocates for building a more equitable future," he added.
JAAGO Foundation thanked Guardian Life Insurance Limited for engaging with its students and educators.
The foundation said it looked forward to strengthening relationships with organisations that shared its commitment to expanding access to quality education and creating meaningful opportunities for children across Bangladesh.
