Guardian Life reports strong claims settlement in Q1
Guardian Life Insurance Limited has reinforced its market leadership by settling 56,478 claims in the first quarter of 2026, disbursing a total of Tk150.84 crore to policyholders and beneficiaries.
According to a company statement, the payouts comprised insurance benefits, death claims and medical claims.
Of the total, Tk 83.81 crore was disbursed for 11,418 death claims, providing crucial support to the families of policyholders.
The insurer also paid Tk58.21 crore for 43,324 health and medical claims, supporting policyholders with treatment-related expenses.
A further Tk8.82 crore was settled for 1,736 additional claims across other categories.
Guardian Life stated that prompt claim settlement remains a core priority, with ongoing efforts to streamline processes and ensure timely disbursement across all claim categories.
The company settled claims totalling Tk543.28 crore in 2025.
Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Life Insurance Limited, emphasised that timely and reliable claim settlement is critical for customers.
"Each claim represents a moment when timely support makes a real difference. Our focus remains on ensuring customers can rely on a process that is responsive, predictable and free from unnecessary complexities—especially when it matters most," he said.
Guardian Life added that it continues to expand access to insurance through bancassurance, microinsurance and digital platforms, reaching a broader segment of the population.
The company partners with more than 500 corporate clients and maintains a network of over 450 affiliated hospitals.
Its coverage extends to over 1.3 crore individuals nationwide.
