GP and BTI collaborate to bring smart home solutions

Grameenphone, the leading telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh, has partnered with Building Technology and Ideas Ltd. (BTI) to introduce an innovative smart home solution for customers. This marks a milestone in the journey toward a more connected and digital lifestyle.

An agreement was signed between the two companies to launch the initiative, which will integrate advanced technology into real estate and deliver the first-of-its-kind Smart Home Solutions in Bangladesh. Faizur Rahman Khan, managing director of BTI, and Yasir Azman, chief executive officer (CEO) of Grameenphone, attended the signing ceremony with senior officials from both organisations.

The partnership introduces "Alo" products, including Gas and Smoke Detectors, Smart Cameras, and Smart Switches, which will be featured in BTI's upcoming residential projects. These solutions will empower people to manage their homes seamlessly through mobile and web applications, revolutionising how people interact with their living spaces.

Yasir Azman, Grameenphone's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), said, "This partnership represents the first step in redefining the intersection of real estate and technology. Our combined efforts aim to transform the Smart Home Concept into a reality for our customers, enabling them to experience a digital lifestyle."

Faizur Rahman Khan, Managing Director of BTI, said, "This collaboration underscores BTI's commitment to integrating advanced digital solutions across all our developments, ensuring that our customers enjoy a smarter, safer, and more convenient lifestyle."

From Grameenphone, Dr Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer; M Shaon Azad, Head of Large Accounts; Abdulla Al Mahmud, Head of New Business Development; Arvid Chowdhury, Head of Product, Partnerships and Operations; AKM Habibullah, Head of Large Account, and Sharmin Binte Billal, Strategic Account Manager, and other key officials were present. Representatives from BTI also joined the event, showcasing their shared vision for innovative and sustainable living solutions.

This pioneering collaboration reflects a shared commitment to enhancing convenience, security, and efficiency for homes while paving the way for future advancements in the digital integration of homes across Bangladesh.
