Glenrich International School Uttara celebrates Founder’s Day 2026
Glenrich International School Dhaka recently celebrated Founder's Day 2026, titled Uttaran, with an evening of performances, reflection and recognition that highlighted the talent and vibrancy of its school community.
The programme was held on Thursday from 3:00pm to 6:30pm at the senior campus auditorium, with the participation of senior officials, parents, students and staff members.
The event opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the annual school report presented by Dr Amlan K Saha, principal of Glenrich International School, Uttara. In his address, he outlined the institution's academic progress and achievements over the past year.
Reflecting on the celebration, Dr Saha said the performances showcased the students' creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm. "What we witnessed this evening reflects not only our students' academic excellence but also their passion and vibrant spirit. We are equally proud of the dedication and commitment shown by our staff in organising the programme," he said.
Students with outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements were recognised and awarded during the event. The celebration also featured art projects and displays from the school's STEAM Carnival, highlighting students' innovation and creativity.
The cultural segment began at 5:00pm with a series of performances, including the formation of the largest school orchestra in Glenrich Uttara's history, featuring 75 student musicians. Other highlights included a classical dance recital, a western choir performance and a dance drama addressing teenage awareness.
The programme also featured a mime performance on water conservation and a folk dance medley celebrating Bangladesh's cultural heritage.
As the institution enters its 18th year, Glenrich International School, Uttara reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence, character development and holistic education. Guided by its School of Life vision, the school continues to focus on nurturing leadership, collaboration and student voice as part of its broader educational mission.
