Flourish Garments to invest $15.34m in Bepza EZ unit in Mirsharai
Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co Ltd, a China (Hong Kong)-based company, will invest $15.34 million to set up a high-end garment manufacturing unit at the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) in Mirsharai, Chattogram.
A land lease agreement was signed on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co Ltd.
Md Tanvir Hossain, executive director (investment promotion) of BEPZA, signed on behalf of BEPZA, while Han Junxiao, managing director of Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co Ltd, signed on behalf of the company. BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain witnessed the signing ceremony.
BEPZA said the company will produce a range of apparel items, including fleece jackets, softshell jackets, down jackets, cotton coats, leather jackets, underwear, T-shirts, polo shirts, shorts, parkas, trousers, ski suits, windproof jackets, fishing and hiking suits, yoga and running suits, jeans and other products. The project is expected to create jobs for 1,988 Bangladeshi nationals.
Speaking at the event, the BEPZA executive chairman welcomed the investor and said the authority would provide support to ensure smooth operations at the zone. He said BEPZA is expanding facilities and developing new zones to accommodate growing investor interest and strengthen Bangladesh's export-oriented industrial base.
He also urged the company to encourage other responsible investors to consider BEPZA zones to support sustainable industrial growth and export diversification.
The ceremony was attended by Abdullah Al Mamun, member (engineering); A N M Foyzul Haque, member (finance); Samir Biswas, executive director (administration); and A S M Anwar Parvez, executive director (public relations), along with senior BEPZA officials and company representatives.
