EWU welcomes 1,800 freshers with fall 2025 orientation
East West University (EWU) welcomed around 1,800 newly admitted students through its Fall 2025 Orientation Programme, held on 25 September at the Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka.
Each department arranged separate sessions tailored to their disciplines, covering academic guidelines, course structures, university rules, support services, and faculty introductions.
Distinguished guests included Professor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU; Professor Dr Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor; and Air Commodore (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer. Faculty deans also joined the event.
Guest speaker Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd, urged students to focus on individual skills development in the era of artificial intelligence. Speakers encouraged freshmen to enjoy their studies and take full advantage of campus experiences.
To add vibrancy, the Department of Student Welfare hosted a Club Fair featuring 22 student-run clubs that showcased activities designed to inspire co-curricular engagement.
