Energypac signs $5m transformer supply deal with Adex
Energypac Engineering Ltd has signed a $5 million contract with Adex Corporation to supply 15 high-capacity transformers for an Asian Development Bank-funded power distribution project.
The transformers will be supplied for a project of the Northern Electricity Supply Company Limited (NESCO), supporting efforts to develop and strengthen Bangladesh's power distribution infrastructure, according to a press release.
The contract was signed recently at Adex Corporation's office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
Energypac Engineering Ltd Chief Executive Officer and Director Engineer Rabiul Alam and Adex Group Chairman Engineer Ali Azam attended the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, Energypac Engineering Ltd will supply 15 transformers, each with a capacity of 20/28 megavolt-amperes. The contract is valued at approximately $5 million.
Energypac Engineering Ltd specialises in designing, manufacturing, supplying, installing and commissioning transformers, substations, switchgear and other critical electrical systems.
The company said its advanced manufacturing facilities, engineering expertise and adherence to international quality standards enabled it to provide reliable solutions for major power and infrastructure projects.
Energypac said it remained committed to engineering excellence and technological development while contributing to the expansion of Bangladesh's power infrastructure.
