Eastland Insurance holds half-yearly business review

Eastland Insurance PLC held its Half-Yearly Business Conference 2025 on Sunday, 20 July, at the DCCI Auditorium in Motijheel, Dhaka.
The event was presided over by the company's Chairman, Mr Mahbubur Rahman.
Distinguished board members, including Vice Chairman Mr. Rizwan-ur Rahman and Directors Mr Kamal Uddin Ahmed and Mr. ASM Quasem, were present and delivered remarks.
Mr Mohammed Salim, Chief Executive Officer of Eastland Insurance, presented an analytical report on the company's half-yearly business performance. He shared key insights into the firm's operations and progress for the first six months of 2025.
In his speech, Chairman Mahbubur Rahman expressed satisfaction with the achievement of 83% of the proportionate business target set for June 2025. He commended the management and staff for their commitment and resilience in the face of global economic headwinds. "This performance, amid an ongoing global recession, reflects the dedication and teamwork of our employees," he said.
He added that Eastland Insurance, now in its 38th year of operation, has established itself as a financially strong and reputable insurer in Bangladesh. The Chairman urged executives and employees to continue working with unity and determination to meet full-year business goals.
Among others, the conference was attended by Mr Md Shafiul Alam, Additional Managing Director and Head of Motijheel Branch; Mr Md Tajul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Underwriting & Claims; Mr Md Shahriar Siddique, DMD and Head of BCD & Admin; Mr Md Mizanur Rahman, DMD and Chief Financial Officer; and Mr Md Sattar Howlader, DMD. Other senior executives and officials of the company were also present and shared their views during the discussion.
The conference provided a platform for reviewing performance, aligning strategic goals, and reinforcing a shared commitment to ongoing growth and service excellence.
