Eastern Bank hosts a financial literacy programme in Narsingdi
As the lead bank, Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) hosted a financial literacy and open cheque distribution program at the Royal Palace Convention Hall in Narsingdi on November 12.
This event was organised as part of Bangladesh Bank's Financial Literacy Programme.
A total of 15 cheques were distributed to selected beneficiaries from various banks, underscoring the industry's commitment to empowering individuals through financial access. The program was attended by 26 bank managers and representatives, along with 150 guests, all joining to support the mission of financial education and responsible banking.

Md Iqbal Mohasin, Director of Bangladesh Bank's Financial Inclusion Department, was the chief guest on the occasion and shared valuable insights and guidance on financial literacy. M. Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking at EBL was the event's special guest.
Md Masum Rana, AGM of Sonali Bank, and Sharfuddin Mozaffar Ali, Head of Agent Banking and Financial Literacy Wing at EBL, spoke on the importance of financial literacy, which equips people with knowledge so they can make informed financial decisions.
