DX Group brings global tech brand TCL to Bangladesh
Global electronics and smart home appliance brand TCL Global Marketing Company Limited has formally launched its operations in Bangladesh, appointing the country's rapidly expanding technology conglomerate, DX Group, as its exclusive partner for marketing, distribution, and local manufacturing.
The announcement was made at an inauguration ceremony held at the Ballroom of Hotel Sheraton in Banani, where TCL outlined its market ambitions, long-term investment plans, and commitment to building strong local production capacity.
TCL announced that it will begin local manufacturing of televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, aiming to offer Bangladeshi consumers advanced technology, international standards, and competitive pricing.
DX Group Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dewan Kanon, senior officials from both organisations, corporate partners, influencers, and digital creators were present.
Delivering a presentation on TCL's history and its Bangladesh strategy, Ms Carol, Regional Sales Director (TCL Global), said: "We are delighted to officially enter the Bangladeshi market. We hope the people of this country will enjoy a different and enhanced experience using TCL products introduced through the DX Group." TCL's South Asia Regional Manager, Jensen Wang, and Regional Manager (TV), Frank Zhuang, also spoke at the ceremony.
"Bangladesh is one of the fastest-growing markets for technology products," said Dewan Kanon. "Partnering with a global brand such as TCL allows us to bring world-class innovation to local consumers. Through local manufacturing, we aim to unlock new industrial opportunities, create employment, and strengthen technological capabilities nationwide."
TCL representatives described Bangladesh as a highly promising market and said the company's long-term plan is to expand its production infrastructure to offer more variety, improved quality, and better affordability.
Actress and model Rukaiya Jahan Chamak, influencer Twink Carol, and ATC Android ToTo Company's Ashikur Rahman Tushar were also in attendance.
Founded in 1981, the China-based technology leader now operates in more than 160 countries and holds prominent global positions in panel technology, televisions, and air conditioners, while expanding rapidly across other smart home appliance categories.
