Dutch-Bangla Bank joins BB scheme to expand cluster financing
Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC has entered into a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the central bank's Tk3,000 crore Cluster Financing Scheme to provide eligible entrepreneurs with access to affordable credit.
The scheme offers eligible entrepreneurs concessional financing at an annual interest rate of 7%.
This plan is predicted to drive business expansion, boost productivity and create new employment opportunities.
The agreement was formalised at a ceremony at Bangladesh Bank headquarters, attended by Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar and Executive Director Husne Ara Shikha.
Md Ahteshamul Haque Khan, Managing Director and CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank, and Nawshad Mustafa, Director of Bangladesh Bank's SME and Special Programmes Department, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Anwar Faruq Talukder, SEVP and CAMLCO of Dutch-Bangla Bank, along with senior officials from both organisations, were also present.
