DURS to hold second International Student Research Conference on 28 Dec
The Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) is set to bring together more than 700 researchers, academics and young participants from over 100 universities in Bangladesh and more than 30 countries at its second International Student Research Conference (ISRC) 2026.
Scheduled for 28 December at the Senate Building of the University of Dhaka, the conference will offer young researchers an international platform to present their work, exchange ideas and build academic connections across disciplines and borders.
Abstract submissions are now open, with the deadline set for 5 October 2026. The conference is being organised by DURS in association with the Office of International Affairs, University of Dhaka, as part of the research society's 10th anniversary celebrations.

The event aims to bring together students, young researchers, academics, faculty members and professionals from Bangladesh and around the world to present research, exchange knowledge, explore emerging ideas and foster international academic collaboration.
Five research tracks
ISRC 2026 will feature five major research tracks:
- Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
- Health, Life Sciences, Environment, Sustainability and Humanities
- Engineering, Architecture and Applied Physical Sciences
- Human Mind, Behaviour, Society, Arts and Culture
- Business, Law, Education and Global Affairs
Participants will have the opportunity to present their research through oral and poster presentations.
The conference will also welcome general participants and listeners interested in attending the sessions, learning from researchers, taking part in academic discussions and connecting with participants from different countries and institutions.
Organisers said the conference would provide young researchers with an international platform to showcase their work, exchange ideas, connect with academics and professionals, and explore opportunities for future research collaboration.

Academic leaders to join
The conference will be presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka.
The education minister of Bangladesh has confirmed his participation as chief guest, while the Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is expected to attend as keynote speaker.
The event is also expected to be attended by distinguished academic leaders, including the Vice Chancellor of North South University and the Vice Chancellor of BRAC University, alongside prominent researchers and scientists from Bangladesh and other countries.
DURS has invited students, young researchers, academics, professionals and research enthusiasts from Bangladesh and abroad to submit abstracts or register as general participants for ISRC 2026, which seeks to promote research, innovation, knowledge-sharing and international academic collaboration.
