Deshbandhu Group provides relief to Korail fire victims
Deshbandhu Group has extended humanitarian support to families affected by the recent fire in the capital's Korail slum, distributing free food items and essential daily necessities among the victims today.
Brigadier General (Retd.) Zakir Hossain, Additional Managing Director of Deshbandhu Group, Director Mainul Islam Lal, and Idrisur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer of Deshbandhu Food & Beverage Ltd., were present at the distribution programme along with senior officials.
Food products manufactured by Deshbandhu Food & Beverage Ltd. were provided free of cost to the affected households. The assistance brought much-needed relief to families who lost their belongings in the blaze.
"The people of Korail have lost everything and are going through extreme hardship. Standing beside them is our social responsibility," said Brig Gen (Retd.) Zakir Hossain. "Deshbandhu Group has always supported people during crises, and we will continue to do so."
The fire left numerous families homeless, destroying houses and essential possessions. Local representatives and residents expressed gratitude to Deshbandhu Group for the timely support.
Deshbandhu Group reiterated its commitment to continuing humanitarian and relief activities across the country during emergencies.
