CUET’s Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall hosts Freshers’ Reception and Farewell Ceremony

Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology's Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall hosted the Freshers' Reception and Farewell Ceremony 2025 on 7 July.

Professor Dr Mahmood Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of CUET, attended as the chief guest. Professor Dr Md Mahbubul Alam, Director of the Directorate of Student Welfare, was present as the special guest. The programme was presided over by Professor Dr Md Riaz Akhtar Mallik, Provost of Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall. Assistant Provost Md Samiun Basir delivered the welcome address, while Hamim Ibne Hasan (Batch 22, Mechanical Engineering) and Javedul Islam (Batch 22, EEE) hosted the event.

The ceremony honoured 154 graduating students from various departments and welcomed the newly admitted students. Two former hall residents who recently joined CUET as lecturers were recognised. Winners and runners-up of the Inter-Hall Annual Sports Competition 2025 received awards. Dining managers were also acknowledged for their contributions over the past year.
