CRAB stresses service quality, HR development at annual meeting
The Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Ltd (CRAB) held its 21st Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 3 December 2025.
CRAB Chairperson, Noor A Alam Chowdhury, chaired the meeting.
Board members present included Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director of Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd; Asif Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of New Age Group of Industries; Raihan Rahman, Director of Groundstone Corporation, Canada; Tania Nusrat Zaman, former Policy Expert at UNDP and the World Bank; Asif Saad Bin Shams, AMD and CRO of IDLC Finance PLC, representing IDLC; Md Nurul Huda, DMD of ICB, representing ICB; Sahil Humayun, representing Unicorn Equities Ltd; and Shahed Shams Azad, Managing Director and CEO of CRAB.
In his remarks, the chairperson stated that, despite a challenging economic and political environment, CRAB made notable progress in 2024–25 due to the combined efforts of shareholders, board members, management, and clients. He added that improving service quality and coverage, strengthening human resources, and expanding technology adoption will remain the agency's top strategic priorities.
Managing Director, Shahed Shams Azad, presented the activities and progress of the 2024–25 fiscal year and highlighted CRAB's continued commitment to technology-driven innovation in its rating services.
