Community Bank trains entrepreneurs to strengthen business skills
Community Bank Bangladesh PLC concluded its 'Entrepreneurship Development Programme' under SICIP, with Bangladesh Bank.
The bank announced in a press statement that it held the closing ceremony at the Community Bank Training Academy in Gulshan, Dhaka, on 21 May 2026.
The programme aimed to equip participants with practical entrepreneurial skills, encourage innovative approaches to business, and improve the participants' and their organisations' ability to compete effectively in the industry.
Twenty-three emerging entrepreneurs completed the course and received certificates from the chief guest.
Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SMESPD Department at Bangladesh Bank, served as the chief guest.
Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Managing Director (current charge), CAMLCO and Chief Operating Officer, Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, presided over the event.
Mohammad Ariful Islam, Deputy Director and Programme Coordinator, Bangladesh Bank, attended as a special guest.
Other attendees included key officials from Bangladesh Bank and Community Bank Bangladesh PLC.
The government implemented the programme, with Bangladesh Bank executing it and the Asian Development Bank providing support.
This strategic initiative was highlighted at the outset to emphasise its aim of enhancing business competencies, developing skilled human resources, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening Bangladesh's economic competitiveness.
