Community Bank extends patronage to Bangladesh startup investment company
Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has extended patronage to Bangladesh Startup Investment Company under its Start-up Financing Initiative, aiming to expand innovation-driven financing and support entrepreneurship.
The bank said the initiative is part of its strategy to promote innovation-based financing in the country, with the objective of encouraging entrepreneurship, generating employment and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
At a ceremony held at the SMESPD department of Bangladesh Bank, Kimiwa Saddat, managing director (current charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, handed over a pay order in favour of Bangladesh Startup Investment Company through Nawshad Mustafa, director of SMESPD, Bangladesh Bank.
Also present were Md Shariful Islam Kadir, FCA, chief financial officer; Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, head of SME; and Sharif Hasan Mamun, head of agriculture of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, along with senior officials from both organisations.
