Community Bank, Biztrade sign mou to strengthen SME 360° solutions
Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Biztrade Ventures Limited to strengthen SME 360° business solutions across the country.
Under the agreement, Biztrade will act as a strategic advisory partner of Community Bank, supporting the bank's cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise (CMSME) portfolio through a 360-degree approach. The collaboration will focus on facilitating access to finance and inputs, advisory services, market linkages, buyer connections, business promotion and structured loan arrangements.
Biztrade will also engage CMSME entrepreneurs through its digital platform to support loan facilitation and business growth, the organisations said.
The MoU was signed and exchanged at the bank's head office by Kimiwa Saddat, managing director (current charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, and Mustafa Mahbub Hasan, founder and CEO of Biztrade Ventures Limited.
Also present at the signing ceremony were Shamsul Haque Sufyani, chief operating officer; Md Tanjim Morshed Bhuiyan, chief information and technology officer and head of digital financial service and deputy head of RMD; Dr Md Ariful Islam, head of corporate banking and head of business (branch); SK Perves Maraker, head of agent banking, foreign remittance, SBU and transaction banking; Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, head of SME; Sharif Hasan Mamun, head of agriculture; and Md Mamun ur Rahman, head of ADC and head of the managing director's coordination team.
From Biztrade, Md Atiqur Rahman, technical adviser, and Md Sharif Patwary, software engineer, were present, along with other senior officials of both organisations.
