Commercial Bank of Ceylon’s signs CSR with icddr,b
Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh proudly partnered with icddr,b to support the operational expenses of icddr,b's ICU unit.
This initiative underscores CBC's commitment to community welfare and healthcare. By strengthening the capacity of icddr,b, CBC aims to contribute to better patient care and bolster the organisation's critical healthcare services to the hospital's patients in Bangladesh. The largest group of beneficiaries of the hospital consists of patients from the lower income people to whom icddr,b provides free treatments.
Mr Najith Meewanage, CEO of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, handed the CSR cheque to Mr Thomas Barry, Director of Finance. Other senior officials from both organisations were also present at the programme.
