China–Bangladesh Belt and Road exhibition opens in Dhaka

The Embassy of China in Bangladesh has launched the "Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition 2025" at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on 12 September.
The exhibition aims to strengthen economic, trade and technological cooperation between Bangladesh and China, bringing together domestic and international companies, investors, policymakers and technologists from diverse sectors.
The event was opened by SK Bashir Uddin, Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, with the keynote address delivered by Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh. Special guests included Md Sabur Hossain, Additional Secretary, Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources; Mirana Mahrukh, Additional Secretary and Wing Chief, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance; and Han Kun, President of the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB).
Participants from the infrastructure, technology, telecoms, health, agriculture, energy, transport and logistics sectors are showcasing their products and services. The programme also features high-level B2B and B2G meetings, seminars, and investment pitch sessions designed to foster new opportunities.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors on 12 and 13 September from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at ICCB.
