BUFT signs mou with 10 apparel and textile industry partners

BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), in collaboration with its Career Development Centre, signed Memoranda of Understanding with 10 leading industry partners on 19 November, 2025 at the BUFT Multipurpose Hall.

BUFT Board of Trustees Chairman Faruque Hassan attended the event as the chief guest and signed the agreements on behalf of the university. Board of Trustees Member Mohammed Nasir and Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan were also present.

Under the agreements, BUFT formed academia–industry partnerships with Team Group, Giant Group, Hameem Group, Babylon Group, Eco-Tex Limited, Fakir Apparels, Sonia Sweater Group, Purbani Group, Paramount Group, and Shasha Denim. The partnerships aim to enhance practical learning, research collaboration, and career development opportunities for students.

Faculty members, administrative staff, and students contributed to organising the programme. BUFT expressed its appreciation to all involved, saying the initiative would help strengthen links between academia and the textile, apparel, and fashion industries.
