BUFT names winners of futsal tournament
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) held its first Inter-Department Futsal Tournament 2025 prize-giving ceremony, organised by the BUFT Games & Sports Club (BGSC), at Room 101.
The tournament marked a milestone in fostering athletic excellence, teamwork, and campus spirit.
After days of intense competition, the Department of Apparel Manufacturing & Technology (AMT) team, BUFTRIX, emerged as champions, while the Department of Textile Engineering (TE) team, Venom Vipers, secured the runner-up title.

Professor Dr Engineer Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice-Chancellor of BUFT, and GP CAPT (Retd) ANM Rafiqul Alam, ndc, psc, Director of Students' Welfare and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, BUFT, attended the ceremony. Participants appreciated their support.
Organisers presented awards, including the Golden Boot, Golden Ball, and Man of the Final, recognising individual brilliance.
The inaugural futsal tournament encouraged interaction among departments, inspired more students to participate in campus life, and demonstrated BUFT's commitment to helping students grow both individually and collectively through extracurricular opportunities, thereby fostering a more connected university community.
