British Council invites applications for Study UK Alumni Awards 2027
The British Council has invited UK-educated professionals in Bangladesh to apply for the 13th Study UK Alumni Awards.
The awards recognise alumni making significant contributions to their communities, industries and countries.
Applications will remain open until 15 October 2026, according to a press release.

The awards recognise achievements and impact across four categories: Science and Sustainability; Culture, Creativity and Sport; Social Action; and Business and Innovation.
Eligible applicants can compete at both the national and global levels.
Bangladesh will host a national ceremony to honour the country's finalists, with national winners set to be announced in January 2027.
At the global level, a judging panel will select four winners from 28 finalists. They will be announced in August 2027 and celebrated through a digital campaign highlighting their achievements and impact.
The four global winners will also receive a dedicated networking visit to the UK, with opportunities to raise their international profiles, expand their professional networks and advance their careers.
The previous edition received nearly 1,800 applications from international UK alums across almost 100 countries.
The 12th Study UK Alumni Awards also featured a national ceremony in Dhaka in December 2025, celebrating winners and finalists from diverse professional fields.
Building on the previous edition, the British Council said the 13th awards would continue recognising alumni shaping industries, driving innovation and creating lasting social impact worldwide.
Speaking about the awards, British Council Deputy Director Maarya Rehman said UK alums were applying the knowledge, skills and experience gained through their education to create meaningful change.
"The Study UK Alumni Awards celebrate the remarkable ways in which UK alumni are turning their knowledge, skills and experiences into meaningful contributions to their communities, industries and wider society," she said.
"We have seen through our alumni community in Bangladesh how diverse and inspiring these journeys can be, from advancing science and innovation to driving social change and creative enterprise," she added.
Rehman encouraged eligible UK alums to share their stories, celebrate their achievements and join a global community of changemakers.
"The awards are not only a recognition of what alumni have accomplished, but also a platform to amplify their impact and connect them with new opportunities and networks," she said.
The British Council is the UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities.
Eligible applicants can submit applications through the Study UK Alumni Awards website.
