bKash wins Visa Payment Excellence Awards-2024

bKash, the country's most extensive mobile financial services (MFS) provider, has won two categories at the "Visa Payment Excellence Awards 2024" for its significant contribution to the digital payment ecosystem.

By enabling the highest volume of transactions through the bKash wallet, the company has won in the "Wallet Partnership" category for three consecutive years. Additionally, bKash has won in the "Product Innovation" category for launching a direct Visa payment facility from the bKash app.

At an event held at a hotel in the capital, Nishat Rahman, Chief Customer Service Officer of bKash, received the award from Rafeza Akhter, Director of the Payment System Department, Bangladesh Bank. Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA); James Gardiner, Foreign Service Officer – US Department of State, US Embassy in Dhaka; Sandeep Ghosh, Group Country Manager, Visa India and South Asia; Sabbir Ahmed, Visa Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan; and Adnan Kabir Rocky, Head of Banking Partnership & Operations of bKash, along with other senior officials of the organisation, were also present.
