bKash, Satkhira Police organise workshop to enhance MFS security
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen the security of the mobile financial services (MFS) sector through better coordination between field-level agents and law enforcement agencies, bKash recently organised a workshop titled "Preventing Misuse of Mobile Financial Services" in Satkhira.
The day-long workshop, jointly organised by bKash and Satkhira District Police at the Shushilan Tiger Point Conference Room, was attended by 50 bKash agents, channel partners, and local police personnel.
Md. Mukit Hasan Khan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance), Satkhira District Police, and Major AKM Monirul Karim (retd.), Executive Vice-President and Head of External Affairs at bKash, attended the event along with senior officials from both organisations.
Discussions focused on measures to keep MFS services secure, coordination mechanisms with law enforcement agencies, and the importance of operating in full compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Agents were encouraged to follow operational rules through case studies, contextual discussions, and awareness videos. The workshop also highlighted how law enforcement agencies can utilise information gathered through MFS surveillance to identify and bring criminal networks to justice.
bKash reaffirmed its commitment to platform security by maintaining strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The company continues to monitor agent activities through its AML360 app and takes necessary action against irregularities. Throughout the year, bKash conducts awareness and monitoring activities for agents and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and prevent misuse of its services.
