BGCCI welcomes new German ambassador Dr Rüdiger Lotz
The Bangladesh-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) hosted a reception and welcome ceremony in honour of Dr Rüdiger Lotz, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bangladesh, at Le Méridien Dhaka.
Outgoing BGCCI President M Maksud delivered the welcome remarks, followed by the formal handover of the presidency to the newly elected President, Md Rokonuzzaman, FCA.
In his speech, Rokonuzzaman reaffirmed BGCCI's commitment to promoting bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration between Bangladesh and Germany. He outlined a strategic vision focused on attracting German investment in renewable energy and technology, while advocating for business stability and policy clarity during Bangladesh's current political transition.
"We are deeply honoured to have Ambassador Dr Rüdiger Lotz with us," he said. "His vision for strengthening bilateral ties and fostering collaboration in trade, investment, and cultural exchange inspires us all."
Ambassador Dr Rüdiger Lotz expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the shared commitment to deepening relations between the two countries. He emphasised opportunities for sustainable economic cooperation, innovation, and people-to-people exchange, reaffirming Germany's continued support for Bangladesh's development goals.
BGCCI Vice-President Navaneetha Krishnan delivered the vote of thanks, extending appreciation to all attendees for joining the ceremony in honour of the new ambassador.
