Beximco Pharma signs MoU with North South University

Beximco Pharmaceuticals and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of North South University (NSU) have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster research, innovation, and career development in the pharmaceutical sector.
The Mou was signed on Monday ( 5 May 2025) by Mr Rabbur Reza, Chief Operating Officer of Beximco Pharma, and Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of NSU, on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under this MoU, Beximco Pharma will provide selected Mpharm students from NSU with financial support and access to world-class research facilities, facilitating their thesis work on specific topics.
This collaboration underscores Beximco Pharma's commitment to nurturing future talent and advancing pharmaceutical research in Bangladesh.

He also addressed key gaps and offered policy-level recommendations for institutional reform, including gender audits and capacity building. Participants, including faculty, gender focal persons, researchers, and administrators from Bangladesh and Nepal, engaged in dynamic case-sharing and discussion sessions.
Topics ranged from gender disparities in academic leadership to institutional support mechanisms for women. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks from the BOU organising team on behalf of Dr A B M Obaidul Islam, MAGENDA Team Leader and Vice-Chancellor, reaffirming the university's dedication to promoting gender equality in higher education through evidence-based practices and inclusive policy frameworks.
The workshop aligns with MAGENDA's broader mission to foster sustainable gender equality in academia across Asia.
