Beximco Pharma contributes to Labour Welfare Foundation

Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited has contributed Tk 3,56,83,356 to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation, complying with the Bangladesh Labour Act.

The amount represents 10% of the company's Workers' Profit Participation Fund (WPPF) for the 2023–2024 financial year.

The cheque was officially handed over to Mr. Omar Md. Imrul Mohsin, Director General of the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), at a brief ceremony held at Srama Bhaban in Dhaka.
With this latest payment, Beximco Pharma's cumulative contribution to the Labour Welfare Foundation now stands at Tk 23.06 crore, reaffirming the company's consistent compliance with legal obligations and its commitment to worker welfare.
Beximco Pharma's subsidiaries—Nuvista Pharma Limited and Synovia Pharma PLC—also contributed during the event. Nuvista Pharma deposited Tk 22,18,096, while Synovia Pharma paid Tk 4,76,596 to the Foundation.

The Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Fund, operated under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, supports the welfare of workers and their families, especially in cases of workplace accidents, illness, education, and emergencies.
By fulfilling its statutory obligations each year, Beximco Pharma continues to demonstrate leadership in responsible corporate governance and labour rights compliance in the country's pharmaceutical sector.
