Bangladesh showcases jute, leather and lifestyle products at Home Show Brazil 2026
Bangladesh is showcasing jute goods, leather products, home décor and other lifestyle items at Home Show Brazil 2026 as part of efforts to expand the country's export market in South America.
The three-day exhibition began on Tuesday (11 August) at the Distrito Anhembi venue in São Paulo, Brazil, and will continue until Thursday (13 August). Bangladesh is participating with financial support from the Export Promotion Bureau and under the management of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Brasília, according to a press release.
Home Show Brazil is one of South America's largest exhibitions of home and lifestyle products. Four Bangladeshi companies are displaying their products across five booths at the event.
The participating companies are Jihan Plastic Industries, Madar Tannery, Rainbow Jute and Classical Handmade Products.
At another booth, the Export Promotion Bureau and the Embassy of Bangladesh in Brazil are displaying brochures, leaflets and publications featuring Bangladesh's exportable products. Documentaries promoting the country's export sectors are also being screened.
The participating Bangladeshi companies are showcasing jute goods, bags, leather products, natural-fibre baskets, home décor items, bamboo products, terracotta and clay products, and nakshi kantha.
The Bangladesh pavilion was formally inaugurated on Tuesday morning in the presence of officials from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Brazil, representatives of different Brazilian government agencies, the organisers and participating companies.
Visitor turnout at the booths increased following the inauguration, while several business-to-business meetings were also held.
Prospective buyers visited the Bangladeshi stalls and praised the quality of the products on display. They also expressed interest in purchasing Bangladeshi goods.
A seminar titled "Production and Export of Home and Lifestyle Products from Bangladesh" will be held on Wednesday (12 August) as a sideline event of the exhibition.
Representatives of Brazilian trade bodies and international buyers are expected to attend the seminar.
Bangladesh's participation in the exhibition is expected to create opportunities to promote and market the country's home décor and lifestyle products across Latin America.
