Bangladesh Krishi Bank collects $3.13bn remittance in 2025
Bangladesh Krishi Bank recorded a significant achievement in foreign remittance collection in 2025, securing the second highest position among all banks in the country by collecting $3.13 billion, marking a major milestone in the bank's history.
To celebrate the achievement, Bangladesh Krishi Bank organised a Glorious Milestone Celebration Programme on 19 January 2026 at the auditorium of the bank's head office in Dhaka.
Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, attended the event as the chief guest. In her address, she said remittance is one of the key driving forces of the national economy, and noted that Bangladesh Krishi Bank has earned the trust and confidence of expatriate Bangladeshis, enabling it to achieve the milestone. She said the performance would make a meaningful contribution to the country's overall economic development.
The programme was presided over by Sanchia Binte Ali, Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank. In her speech, she said the achievement was made possible through the dedication of the bank's officers and employees, the introduction of modern banking services, and a strong sense of responsibility towards expatriate Bangladeshis. She also expressed confidence in sustaining the momentum in the coming years.
Certificates and crests were distributed among managers who achieved outstanding performance in remittance collection.
Also present at the event were Md Azimuddin Biswas, NDC, Additional Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division; country representatives of various exchange houses and microfinance institutions; Deputy Managing Directors Md Abdur Rahim and Mohd Khaleduzzaman; along with senior executives, CBA leaders, and officers and employees of the bank.
