Bangladesh Election Commission and Race Online Ltd sign agreement

A bilateral agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Election Commission and Race Online Ltd at the Election Commission Auditorium in Agargaon, witnessed by Mr Akhtar Ahmed, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat; ASM Humayun Kabir, Director General (Additional Secretary), National Identity Registration Division; and Brigadier General Md Azizur Rahman Siddiqui, Project Director (IDEA Project).

This partnership will enable users of the Orbitalk app, operated by Race Online Ltd., to efficiently verify their National Identity (NID) before accessing the app's services. This added NID verification aims to protect against unauthorized access, thereby increasing user confidence in the digital security and reliability of the app when used for communication or other supported services.

The ceremony saw the participation of key officials from both organisations. From the Election Commission: Md. Abdul Momin Sarkar, Director (Registration & Expatriates); Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Director (Finance & Administration). From Race Online Ltd.: Mrs. Ela Ahmed, Chairman; Brigadier General Md. Akramul Haque (Retd), CEO; and other senior leaders. that the initiative would significantly strengthen the country's digital security and identity verification systems. He highlighted that the integration of advanced technology would allow Orbitalk users to access services securely and reliably.
