Bangladesh Bank names MTB among top sustainable banks

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has achieved 4th place among the Top 10 Sustainable Banks for 2024, recognised for its strong commitment to sustainability, as announced by Bangladesh Bank.
Bangladesh Bank honoured MTB at a ceremony where Governor Dr Ahsan H Mansur, Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar, and Sustainable Finance Department Director Chowdhury Liakat Ali presented the award to MTB representatives.
Representing MTB, Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Additional Managing Director and GCRO Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, and Head of Sustainability Tahmina Zaman Khan accepted the award.
The award underscores MTB's consistent focus on climate finance, environmental leadership, and social responsibility, positioning its operations in line with national and global sustainability priorities.
Commenting on the recognition, MTB's Managing Director and CEO, Syed Mahbubur Rahman, said: "We are honoured to be ranked among the top sustainable banks in the country.
