Bangladesh Bank and Prime Bank launch training programme for SME entrepreneurs

Bangladesh Bank, in collaboration with Prime Bank PLC, has launched a month-long Entrepreneur Development Training Programme to enhance the skills and business capabilities of entrepreneurs in the Cottage, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (CMSME) sector.
The programme, titled Entrepreneurship Development Programme, aims to strengthen participants' business knowledge, managerial capacity, and financial inclusion, enabling them to expand and sustain their enterprises.
This initiative has been undertaken under Bangladesh Bank's Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP), a project of the Ministry of Finance. The inaugural session was recently held at Prime Tower in Nikunja, Dhaka.
The event was graced by Ms Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, as chief guest, while Mr Nazrul Islam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, attended as special guest. The session was chaired by M Nazeem A Choudhury, Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank. Also present were Md Ziaur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and CRO, and Mr Sajjad Haider Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director (Operations) of Prime Bank PLC.
A total of 25 entrepreneurs have joined the first batch of the training, which will be conducted by experienced trainers from both Bangladesh Bank and Prime Bank.
