BAB executive committee elects vice-chairmen
The Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) has elected Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, and Sharif Zahir, Chairman of United Commercial Bank PLC, as vice-chairmen of its executive committee.
They are the Mutual Trust Bank PLC Chairman, Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, and the United Commercial Bank PLC Chairman, Sharif Zahir.
The appointments were made unanimously at BAB's 230th executive committee meeting, held on Tuesday (5 May).

The new vice-chairmen will serve for the remainder of the current term, ending 31 December 2026.
BAB Chairman and Dhaka Bank PLC Board Chairman Abdul Hai Sarker presided over the meeting.
The committee expressed confidence that the new leadership will further strengthen BAB's role in advancing Bangladesh's banking sector.
