Aqua Paints, Elite Steel sponsor Victory Day Squash Tournament
Aqua Paint and Elite Steel are sponsoring the 4th Victory Day Squash Tournament 2025 as title sponsors, supporting national efforts to promote squash and broaden participation in the sport.
The final phase of the tournament began on Sunday at Bashundhara Sports City, Independent University, Bangladesh, and the Army Officers' Mess Squash Complex.
More than 150 players from nearly 30 clubs and institutions, including teams from the Bangladesh Army, are taking part in the tournament. Following preliminary rounds held across the country, 80 players qualified for the final stage.
The competition includes men's, women's, members' and junior categories, with a focus on encouraging youth and women's participation. Organisers said the tournament aims to support grassroots development and expand opportunities for emerging players.
The four-day tournament will conclude on 24 December with final matches and a prize-giving ceremony at Bashundhara Sports City. East West Communication is serving as the media partner, while SA Group has joined the event as drinks partner.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Shayaan Seraj, Director of Elite Group, said the companies would continue to support sports development, with particular emphasis on creating more opportunities for youth and women.
The sponsors said their involvement reflects a broader commitment to youth development, sportsmanship and national pride alongside their industrial activities.
