Apex Golf Tournament 2026 ends at Army Golf Club
Apex Footwear Limited concluded the Apex Golf Tournament 2026 at the Army Golf Club, Dhaka, marking another milestone in the company's efforts to promote sportsmanship and community engagement.
The four-day tournament was held from 14 to 17 January 2026 and concluded with a closing ceremony on Saturday, 31 January, featuring a prize distribution ceremony, cultural programme and gala dinner at the Golf Garden of the Army Golf Club.
The closing ceremony was graced by Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included President of the Army Golf Club Lieutenant General Khan Firoz Ahmed, OSP, ndc, afwc, psc (LPR); Chairman of Apex Footwear Limited Golam Mainuddin; and Managing Director of Apex Footwear Limited Syed Nasim Manzur.

Senior military officials and tournament organisers were also present, including CEO of Army Golf Club Brig Gen Syed Ahmed Ali, Chairman of the Tournament Committee Brig Gen Akhter Shahid, Golf Captain Brig Gen Mohammad Shariful Islam, Member Secretary Lt Col Sayful Islam, Director of Operations and Sports Lt Col Md Gholam Monzoor Siddique, and Director of Administration and Management Lt Col AKM Saiful Bahar, along with executive committee members and other distinguished guests.
The tournament saw the participation of 813 amateur golfers competing in five categories – Regular, Veteran, Senior, Lady and Junior – making it one of the largest amateur golf tournaments hosted at the venue.
Col Imtiaz Mahmud emerged as the overall champion of the tournament. Category winners included Col Mohammad Mohiuddin (retd.) in the Veteran category, Brig Gen Abdullah-Al-Azhar (retd.) in the Senior category, Sarmin Jahangir in the Lady category, and Master Syed Mahdi Mahbeer in the Junior category. Chief Executive Officer of Apex Footwear Limited Firoz Mohammad and other senior officials of the company were also present.
Apex Footwear Limited said the strong participation and smooth execution of the event reflected the growing stature of the Apex Golf Tournament. The company reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing sports, fostering community harmony and encouraging healthy competition through such initiatives.
