American Wellness Center opens new horizon in chronic disease care

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), nearly 63% of deaths in Bangladesh are caused by chronic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, kidney disorders, and stroke—conditions often linked to unhealthy diets and lifestyles.
Addressing these root causes, the American Wellness Center (AWC) has been established in Bangladesh with the mission of providing sustainable, long-term health solutions.
AWC was founded by Dr Mojibul Haque, a specialist in functional, naturopathic, and integrative medicine. Dr Haque completed his honours and master's from the University of Dhaka, earned a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, and pursued advanced training in health and nutrition at Harvard Medical School and other global institutions. He currently teaches at a U.S. university and serves as a consultant at the American Institute of Regenerative Medicine.
Dr Haque began raising awareness through social media, emphasising that "the root cause of most diseases lies in poor diet and unhealthy lifestyles." Thousands reported improvements in their health simply by following his advice, leading him to expand his work into full-time healthcare. Today, AWC operates centres in Houston, New York, London, and Bangladesh.
AWC's core philosophy is that most chronic diseases originate in the gut and are triggered by processed foods, unhealthy habits, stress, and lack of sleep. Treatments focus on diet and lifestyle modifications, alongside advanced regenerative therapies such as ozone therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, acupuncture, physiotherapy, and chiropractic care.
As patients recover, they are enrolled in the Health Improvement Program, a structured system designed to maintain long-term wellness and reduce reliance on medication. Weekly free seminars are also organised to promote healthy living, with many participants reporting significant health benefits.
Commenting on his mission, Dr Haque said: "We aim to address the root causes of disease, not just suppress symptoms. By adopting healthy lifestyles, people can prevent and even reverse illness permanently."
Despite facing misinformation campaigns, AWC has assured patients of its evidence-based, scientific approach, noting that legal measures have been taken against false claims.
With lifestyle-related diseases on the rise worldwide, Dr Haque envisions a future where people embrace natural foods, live in harmony with nature, and enjoy healthy, medication-free lives.
