Al-Arafah Islami Bank launches three-day training workshop
Al-Arafah Islami Bank has inaugurated a three-day training workshop titled 'Foreign Exchange & International Trade Management' at its Training Institute.
The workshop, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of bank officers in international trade and foreign exchange, commenced on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
Mr Rafat Ullah Khan, Managing Director (CC) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, inaugurated the event as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of international trade and foreign exchange transactions in the banking sector, acknowledging them as vital and challenging areas. He highlighted that developing a skilled, trained, and ethical workforce is a key priority for the bank. The bank's continuous training initiatives aim to develop a highly capable workforce that upholds modern Islamic banking standards.
Mr Khan further remarked, "Such training is crucial to enhance the professional knowledge and skills of our officers, ensuring that they meet the modern banking needs. By applying this knowledge practically in branch operations, we can significantly improve customer service and provide international-standard services while adhering to Islamic banking principles."
The workshop is being presided over by Md Abdur Rahim Duary, Principal of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBTI). Senior Vice President Mr Touhid Siddique was also present at the event. A total of 63 officer trainees from various branches of the bank are participating in the workshop, which will provide them with valuable insights into foreign exchange management and international trade, thereby further strengthening the bank's service offerings.
