Akij Resource MD joins USBCCI networking event in New York
The U.S. Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (USBCCI) recently organised an exclusive meet-and-greet networking session in New York, bringing together business leaders, professionals and community representatives from the United States and Bangladesh.
Sheikh Jasim Uddin, managing director of AKIJ Resource, attended the event as the chief guest.
The session focused on leadership, investment opportunities, sustainable development and ways to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the United States and Bangladesh. Participants exchanged views on expanding collaboration, enhancing private-sector engagement and fostering long-term economic partnerships.
Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Jasim Uddin highlighted AKIJ Resource's diversified industrial portfolio, global expansion plans and innovation-driven business strategy. He also underscored the group's commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices, noting the importance of long-term partnerships between the US and Bangladeshi business communities.
The event was chaired by Md Liton Ahmed, president of USBCCI. It was also addressed by Mohammad Towfique Hasan, chief business development officer of AKIJ Resource, and Shahriar Istiaq Halim, chief executive officer of AKIJ Consulting.
USBCCI said the networking session reflected its continued efforts to promote dialogue, collaboration and investment-driven engagement between businesses from both countries, reinforcing shared commitments to mutual growth and economic cooperation.
